About APKCrest

APKCrest is a small, hand-checked catalog of modified Android apps. We list fewer apps than the big download sites on purpose: every build here has been installed and opened before we publish it, and our hands-on tests write down what doesn't work as well as what does.

How we check a build

The same four steps for every new app and every update.

Step 1Read the file itselfThe package name and version on each page come from the APK we publish, not from a store listing.
Step 2Install and open itA build goes live only after it installs and runs. The date it was last checked is shown under the download button.
Step 3Record the exact sizeEvery download page lists the file size, so you can tell whether you got the complete file.
Step 4Re-check on updateA new version gets the same checks before it replaces the old one. Past releases stay listed on Latest updates.

How the site works

What we publish

Modified builds of popular apps — currently short drama, video streaming, video downloader, music and novels & audiobooks apps. Each page says exactly what the build changes compared with the official version, in plain terms, and avoids promises we haven't checked.

Where downloads come from

Buttons open well-known third-party file hosts in a new tab, with more than one mirror per app. Those hosts run their own pages and ads. You never need a host's "download manager" — the APK is all you need.

Ratings and install counts

Where a page shows a rating or install count, it's the official app's figure on Google Play, labeled as such — it describes the official version, not the modified build. Apps not on Google Play show no rating rather than a made-up one.

What we don't do

No fake ratings, download counters or "trending" numbers.
No listing of apps whose rights holders have asked us to remove them — see DMCA.
